FINDING, PRINTING AND EDITING LAB RESULTS IN THE LIS (ORCHARD HARVEST)

Policy: 

Purpose and Scope:
To describe the steps for finding, printing and editing (correcting) lab results in the LIS (Orchard Harvest).
 

Procedure: 

Procedure

  1. Log on to Harvest Orchard by selecting your username from the drop down box. Enter your password in the appropriate space.
  2. Select the Find A Patient box from the Work Center menu. (Alternatively, Find A Patient can be selected from the drop down menu under Patient).
  3. Use the dropdown menu to select method for search, such as last name, id number etc. (Note: Use Intelliquery to search by any of these methods).
  4. Type in the patient’s information and click the Find button on the lower right corner of the screen.
  5. If multiple patients are returned then click to highlight the correct patient and click the Accept button on the lower right corner of the field.
  6. Select the Results Explorer tab on the upper left part of the screen. There will be a column on the left of the screen with all of the patient's lab encounters in chronological order.
  7. Click the plus sign (+) to view the lab tests under the appropriate encounter.
  8. Click to highlight the tests of interest. Results will be visible on the right side of the screen.
  9. To print results, right click on the highlighted test and select Print Results.
  10. To edit/correct results, right click on the highlighted test and select Edit Results. Edit the test results on the right side of the screen and click Save.
